Fundamentals of Improv: The intermediate level is a concentrated continuation of the fundamentals of improv with a specific focus on forms and group work. Students will study the techniques of finding the “game” in a scene by further developing trust in your scene partners, group mind and support, working as an ensemble while learning how to explore an idea, exploring different styles of long forms from the classic “Harold” to its many offshoots, a study of scene edits, as well as status character choices and monologues. Intermediate Level is the second of three class levels in the Fundamentals of Improv program. Each class meets once a week for an eight-week term.
